On March 2, 2009, Iona College became the first major college to create a “data breach-free campus,” and to provide proactive identity theft protection to its approximately 5,000 students, faculty and staff. Iona College is leveraging CampusWatch from Identity Force to eliminate the threat of data breaches, stop identity theft, and comply with all federal and state ID theft compliance laws – including Red Flag Rules.
“Data Breaches and identity theft are serious threats to colleges and universities across the nation, and students are among the most common victims of identity fraud,” explained Iona College President James A. Liguori. “We are proud to announce that the Iona community is now fully protected from one of the most prevalent crimes in the nation.”
