SAN DIEGO—A husband and wife who owned a physical therapy center in San Diego have been arrested on suspicion of filing false claims for $1.34 million in Medicare payments, authorities said Friday. Sanjay Patel, 41, and his wife Leena, 36, were arrested in Connecticut before boarding a plane to India, the state attorney general's office said. The couple is accused of paying unsuspecting seniors $100 to obtain their health insurance information and signatures on blank medical forms. Prosecutors alleged the pair used the information to submit claims for procedures that were never performed. (Read Full Article)
