The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has delayed until Nov. 1 enforcement of a provision of the “red flags” rule that requires physicians, hospitals, and other covered entities to develop and implement written identity theft prevention programs. The previous deadline for compliance was Aug. 1. Additional educational materials will be made available by the FTC during this period. Read the FTC press release. (Read Full Article)
