This is an example of an email scam pretending to be from the US Department of Treasury as well as the Federal Reserve. It asks for the recipient to open a bank account for them to deposit a very large sum of money. The scammers are targeting banking and financial institutions. This is the initial document that is sent out. If the recipient responds, they are generally asked to wire a large amount of money before the funds are transfered. (Read Full Article)
